What is a fractional CFO?

A fractional CFO is a senior finance professional you share with other businesses. You get monthly financial statements, forecasting, benchmarking and a regular review meeting for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

Do you only work with contractors?

Contractors and the trades are our specialty, but we also serve other small businesses, individuals and trusts. We prepare individual (1040), trust (1041), C corporation (1120), S corporation (1120-S) and partnership (1065) returns.

Do I need to be in Tennessee or Arizona?

No. We're located in Nashville and Phoenix and work with clients in all 50 states. Meetings happen by video, documents are shared securely online, and Jake is licensed as a CPA in both Tennessee and Arizona.

How can you work with clients in all 50 states if you're only licensed in two?

Tax preparation and tax planning can take place across state lines. A CPA doesn't need to hold a separate license in every state to prepare returns or advise clients there, so we can serve you wherever your business is located.

My books are a mess. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Books cleanup is one of our core services. Whether you're in QuickBooks or Xero, we'll reconcile accounts, fix categorization and get you to audit-ready financials before moving to monthly work.

Do you work with QuickBooks and Xero?

Yes. QuickBooks and Xero are the two platforms we work with most closely, and Jake is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Whether you're already on QuickBooks or Xero or starting fresh, we can set it up, clean it up and keep it current. We can also implement other systems when they're a better fit for your business.
